Welcome! DXC makes many benefits and resources available to you, supporting all aspects of your well-being. Follow this checklist to explore your choices and enroll in benefits as unique as you.
If you’re considering DXC as your next career destination, see our pre-hire page for helpful information.
Getting ready to enroll
- Before you have access to the DXC Benefits Center enrollment system, learn about DXC’s benefit programs on this website and use this checklist to understand important deadlines and required actions. See the New Hire Reference Guide for an overview of the DXC benefits available to you and things to consider.
- Use DXC’s pre-enrollment interactive pricing tool to preview your DXC health plan (medical, dental and vision) options and costs. Your DXC human resources contact will provide the password to you, or you can request the password through the DXC Benefits Center.
- Learn about DXC’s dependent eligibility requirements for medical, dental, vision and dependent life insurance.
- Get to know the health insurance carriers available to you.
- Gather the following information so you will be prepared to use Help Me Choose, which is a decision support tool available in the enrollment system when you choose your DXC benefits:
- Name and contact information for doctors, hospitals, labs, etc., you and your covered family members prefer
- Details about prescriptions you or your covered family members take, including the name, dosage and frequency of the prescriptions
- If you plan to elect benefits for a dependent (spouse/domestic partner or child), learn about and collect dependent verification documents, which you’ll be asked to provide after enrolling.
Enrolling
- Within your first week of DXC employment, you should receive an email from the DXC Benefits Center letting you know your benefits record is set up. If you don’t receive your email by the end of your second week of employment, please open an Employee Connect ticket.
- Make your benefit elections within 30 days of your hire date.
- Go to the DXC Benefits Center enrollment portal, click the Register button and follow the prompts to set up your account.
- Download and save a copy of your benefits confirmation notice.
- If you elect benefits within 30 days, coverage and payroll contributions/deductions will be effective as of/retroactive to your DXC start date.
- If you do not elect benefits at this time:
- You will receive only the benefits that don’t require an election, including the second option for Short-Term Disability (STD) Insurance (the 30-day waiting period option). Benefits requiring an election will default to waiver of coverage, which means you will not receive coverage for those benefits.
- Your next opportunity to enroll or make changes to your benefits will be during Benefits Annual Enrollment or, for some benefits, within 30 days of a qualified life event (e.g., marriage, divorce, adding to your family through birth, adoption, foster care etc.). Learn more about when you can enroll and make changes.
- To elect Supplemental Life Insurance or Disability Insurance at a later date, you must satisfy the insurance company’s evidence of insurability (EOI) requirements, and your request is subject to denial.
- Start your DXC 401(k) contributions. If you don’t take action, you will be automatically enrolled at a 3% contribution rate.
After enrolling
- Complete any required actions, such as providing dependent verification or completing the evidence of insurability (EOI) process if you elected supplemental life insurance in 4X or 5X increments.
- Check your first few paychecks to verify your benefits deductions. Since you have up to 30 days to enroll in benefits, you may not see deductions on your first paycheck and you may see retroactive deductions on subsequent paychecks.
- If you enrolled in a Bronze, Bronze Plus or Silver medical plan, look for a welcome email from Virgin Pulse inviting you to register for the Healthy Behaviors Wellness Program and start earning wellness incentives. (In January 2025, Virgin Pulse will introduce a brand-new look and feel for their new name: Personify Health. Stay tuned for details on this update.)
- Once your new benefits are established (usually two to three weeks after you enroll), set up your personalized accounts through the applicable carriers. You can access your carrier ID card electronically through your account before you receive a physical ID card in the mail. You only need ID cards for the medical and dental plans and the Eye Med vision plan. None of the other plans/benefits have ID cards.
- In addition to setting your online accounts with the benefits carriers, you can download their apps so you can easily access your account on the go.
- Provide your beneficiary information to protect your family’s financial well-being.
- Learn about DXC benefits you can start using anytime for support and resources to help you and your family be well.
- Create a shortcut to this website, so you can visit often to access benefits updates, resources, and carrier contact information quickly and easily.
